Kelley Robinson
Kelley Robinson is the President of the Human Rights Campaign. She was the executive director of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and the vice president of advocacy and organizing at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Kelley has over 12 years of experience as a leader in the progressive field, with an expertise in sexual and reproductive health and a deep commitment to leading with equity. Kelley began her Planned Parenthood career in 2009 as a regional organizer in Iowa and Nebraska. Since then, Kelley served as a key leader in driving PPFA and PPAF’s vision for supporter engagement by serving as the lead strategist for its national mobilizations, creating Path to Power, the organizations’ grassroots training program, developing a variety of constituency programs, and leading critical issue fights. Outside of Planned Parenthood, Kelley serves on the board of SisterSong, the largest national women of color reproductive justice collective, and on the board of the Alliance for Youth Action.
Marlon Marshall
Marlon served as Special Assistant to the President and Principal Deputy Director in the Obama White House Office of Public Engagement, where he was a key player in a number of public engagement initiatives at the White House and led the on-the-ground enrollment effort for the historic Affordable Care Act. He was also instrumental in helping the Administration launch the My Brother’s Keeper Community Challenge, a program that worked with cities and focused on making sure young people of color and all youth have a chance to succeed. During his tenure, Marlon was ranked among The Root’s “Talented Ten” and dubbed “a quintessential bridge-builder.” After he left the White House, Marlon co-founded 270 Strategies, then served as Director of States and Political Engagement for the 2016 Hillary for America campaign. He is currently a Fellow at the Georgetown Institute of Politics and Public Service, where he leads weekly discussions with students committed to making politics work better, and he is a partner at City Fund, where he is working to create innovative public school systems.
John Bisognano
John Bisognano serves as the President of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC) & Affiliates, organizations founded by President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi in 2017. The NDRC operates as the centralized hub for executing a comprehensive redistricting strategy that shifts the redistricting power back to voters, creating fair districts where Democrats can compete. John joined the NDRC team shortly after its launch in 2017 as a veteran of the Obama White House and three presidential campaigns. Before John was inspired to get politically involved, he worked in baseball as the Visiting Clubhouse Manager for the Pawtucket Red Sox. John earned a B.A. and MBA from Providence College and is a native of Massachusetts.
Jonae Wartel
Jonae Wartel is an organizer, trainer and innovative strategist with over a decade of experience empowering communities and inspiring change. She currently serves as Managing Director at Arc Initiatives, a public affairs and communications firm based in Washington, D.C She previously served as the Democratic Party’s Runoff Director for the GA Senate Runoff Elections, flipping the balance of power in the US Senate. During the 2020 cycle she served as Vice President of Elections and Advocacy at More than a Vote, a coalition of black athletes combating voter suppression and systemic racism. Originally from Marietta, GA; she first began her work in Georgia She served as southern Regional Director for the Democratic National Committee (2017-2019); Chief Program Officer at Organizing Corps 2020, an initiative focused on training 1000 organizers for the 2020 presidential election in key battleground states including GA, FL, NC, PA, MI, WI and AZ and in leadership roles on the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Presidential campaigns.
Dawn Huckelbridge
Dawn Huckelbridge is the founding director of Paid Leave for All, the national campaign of organizations leading the fight for paid family and medical leave for all working people. She has experience in progressive policy, political organizing, communications, and building early-stage programs and campaigns. She has held leadership positions at Supermajority, American Bridge, Planned Parenthood, People For the American Way, and the Barbara Lee Family Foundation. She graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a master’s degree in gender and social policy and studied communications and political science at Northwestern University.
Quentin James
A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Quentin James is the Founder & President of The Collective, including its four legal entities, as well as the co-founder of Vestige Strategies, LLC. Before launching the Collective in 2016, Quentin led a team of Vestige Strategies’ consultants in securing victory for Dr. Keith Rowley as Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago in 2015. Previously, Quentin was the Black Americans Director for the Ready for Hillary PAC. In that role, Quentin directed the PAC’s outreach to the black community across the United States, and helped recruit over 50,000 African American grassroots donors and over 3 million grassroots supporters. Formerly the National Director for the Sierra Club’s Sierra Student Coalition, the nation’s largest youth environmental organization, Quentin directed the organization to train, empower, and organize youth to run effective campaigns that resulted in tangible environmental victories and developed leaders for the environmental movement. From 2009-2013, Quentin served as a National Board Member for the NAACP, the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization. Quentin is the founder of Inclusv, a diversity hiring initiative and was named one of the 2017 NBC Blk28 under 28 and named one of the 2018 Root 100 Most Influential African Americans.
Brian Bordainick
Brian is the Co-Founder of Starface and Plus. He is also a Founder of Square One Politics and former Head of Innovation for Hudson’s Bay Company. He successfully brokered the relationship between HBC and WeWork resulting in a transaction of over $1.3B. Before that, Brian founded and ran Dinner Lab, a company with ever 100 full-time employees that secured 11M in venture capital funding. They hosted over 1k culinary experiences across 31 cities in the United States. Brian has been featured on Anderson Cooper 360, ESPN, The Today Show, CBS News, and has spoken at the TEDxGoldenGateED, The Feat Social Innovation Conference, and Universities throughout the country.
Jennifer Haro
Jennifer Haro is a fiber and quilt artist living in Chicago. Before practicing art, Jennifer worked in finance and politics for 20 years. She was a full-time volunteer on Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, the youngest member of his National Finance Committee, and the Missouri Deputy GOTV Director. She was the Finance Director for Tommy Sowers’ 2010 congressional campaign in MO-08, the 11th poorest in the country, raising $1.6 million from a built-from-scratch network of 4,000 donors in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Jennifer is a passionate advocate for donor participation in all aspects of campaign politics and believes, as the author Lynne Twist says, “Money is like water; when it flows it heals.”
Mercedes Martinez
Mercedes Martinez has worked in support of election access since 2008. She is honored to participate with Square One in addition to her other responsibilities including board service for Homeboy Industries and the Burning Man Project. She is also helping to raise three kids.
