PEACHY MYERS | Director of Giving

Peachy Myers is a seasoned political and nonprofit leader who specializes in community engagement and fundraising strategies. Her professional career spans two decades and includes direct service, advocacy, organizing, and public policy efforts aimed primarily at issues of racial equity and social justice. 

In 2008, she served as one of Barack Obama’s original battleground state field directors, devising a strategy and leading a team that turned out a historic number of voters. She subsequently served as a political appointee in the Obama White House where she helped develop and implement the new administration’s national service agenda. Over the years, her work has included frontline services with homeless seniors in San Francisco, affordable housing development in Austin, and partnerships with nonprofit leaders across the country focused on voting rights, family separation at the border, hate violence prevention, and paid leave for all. 

Peachy has a long track record of strengthening the long-term capacity of organizations to effect change by deepening, broadening, and diversifying their outreach, sharing their stories, and moving people from all walks of life to action. 

Peachy received her BA in Sociology from Vanderbilt University and her Masters in Public Affairs at the University of Texas. She recently moved from Austin to Brooklyn with her son.
